On June 18, 2020, the Senate confirmed the nominations of Donald Lee Moak and William Zollars to be Governors of the US Postal Service.
The nominations are effective immediately and they will be filling terms that expire December 8, 2022. Specifically, they are filling in slots that were previously held by Alan C. Kessler and James H. Bilbray.
Once sworn in there will be six Governors on the Board, sufficient to restore a quorum. The quorum was lost earlier this month when Deputy Postmaster General Ron Stroman stepped down.
Zollars and Moak are both new to the USPS. Moak formerly served as president of the Air Line Pilots Association and runs a public affairs company based in Washington, D.C. Zollars is the former chairman of the logistics company, YRC Worldwide.
