The holiday season is just around the corner. To help make sure that holiday mail and packages arrive by December 25, the USPS® has published a list of recommended deadlines for both domestic and international mail.

The Postal Service announced that Scott Bombaugh has been named Acting Vice President of Engineering Systems. In this capacity, he is “responsible for the design, development, deployment and life cycle support of mail processing systems and associated software, retail and delivery technology and scanning solutions.”

Last month on August 28, the Senate confirmed President Trump’s USPS Board of Governors nominees Robert M. “Mike” Duncan of Kentucky and David C. Williams of Illinois. The Board had been without members since 2016. Duncan and Williams were nominated last fall. As a result of the confirmation, two of the nine empty seats have been filled.

On August 28, the same day that the Senate confirmed President Trump’s USPS® Board of Governors nominees Robert M. “Mike” Duncan and David C. Williams, the President announced that he intends to nominate two more people to the Board of Governors.
