USPS has begun to release additional details for the 2027 Postal Promotions.
First-Class Advertising (FCM), now allowing marketing free standing inserts/coupons in FCM pieces to qualify, NEW nine-month promotion period. 5% discount.
- Registration: February 15th, 2027 – December 31st, 2027
- Promotion Period: April 1st, 2027 – December 31st, 2027
The new guide book has been published to PostalPro giving mailers some guidance about enhancing your marketing strategy and maximizing the impact of your mailings.
- You may place a marketing message on, or within your First-Class Mailpiece, or
- Create a standalone advertisement using First-Class Mailpieces
NEW this year, Supplemental enclosures such as buck slips, blow-in cards, and sticky notes with a marketing message can now qualify a mailpiece for the 2027 FCMA promotion

Tactile, Sensory & Interactive (MM, FCM), NEW two-tier discount structure, 3% for standard finishes, 5% for complex finishes.
- Registration: October 15th, 2026 – June 30th, 2027
- Promotion Period: January 1st, 2027 – June 30th, 2027

- Promotion Period :Pick your start date for 6 consecutive months.
The new guide book has been published to PostalPro identifying the eight options of eligible technologies.

Direct Mail Discovery (MM letters) 40% discount to permit holders, new mailers (have not mailed in at least two years) can receive the discount on a maximum of 5,000 pieces in a mailing, up to 100,000 total across additional mailings during promotions period. A 5% discount will go to the eDoc submitter.
- Registration: February 15th, 2027 – December 31st, 2027
- Promotion Period :April 1st, 2027 – September 30th, 2027
This promotion will be open to Marketing Mail letter shape pieces only.
The 2027 Direct Mail Discovery Guidebook is not published yet, when it is, it will provide you with all of the details you need to successfully participate in these promotions.
Impact Messaging (MM, FCM) 5% discount to permit holders,mailers receive a discount for mail pieces that include messaging that promotes the impact of mail.
- Registration: March 15th, 2027 – September 30th, 2027
- Promotion Period :May 1st, 2027 – September 30th, 2027
First-Class and Marketing Mail Letters and Flats will be eligible.
The 2027 Impact Messaging Guidebook is not published yet.

The Informed Delivery and Sustainability Add-Ons remain for 2027 at 1%
- Registration: November 20th, 2026 – December 31st, 2027
- Promotion Period : January 1st, 2027 – December 31st, 2027
The guidebook for both Add-Ons has been published. You can only take an add-on when using a base promotion at the same time.

Due to the promotion overlaps each mailer must review the calendar to best determine which promotion provides the best ROI and marketing value.
