Search for a new Postmaster General (PMG) – could the wait be over?

This is the first National Postal Forum in my recollection in which we did not have a permanent Postmaster General (PMG) in office.  There have been transitional periods in USPS leadership – such as when acting PMG is in place due to retirement, resignation, or before a successor is officially named, but historically that replacement has been named prior to the NPF.

Takeaways from the National Postal Forum 2025

Last week concluded a very successful National Postal Forum in Nashville, TN. GrayHair participated in six sessions at the forum on topics of Address Quality, Hot topics in Mail, Bridging the Gender Gap with leadership tips, and working with Postal and Client Data at Scale.

GrayHair Software Announces the Retirement of VP of Postal Affairs

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Stuart, Florida) – September 17, 2024 – GrayHair Software, a leader in data quality solutions, announces the retirement of its VP of Postal Affairs, Angelo Anagnostopoulos effective September 30, 2024. With 20 years of dedicated service, Angelo has been a cornerstone in the development and evolution of GrayHair’s postal strategies, solutions and industry relationships, leaving behind an unparalleled legacy of leadership and innovation.

Angelo joined GrayHair shortly after the USPS® began licensing tracking data, during a time when mailpieces required two separate barcodes for tracking. His early work with the USPS led to his involvement in key initiatives, including developing the Intelligent Mail Barcode (IMb) and major USPS systems like PostalOne!, EPS, and Seamless. Throughout his tenure, Angelo was instrumental in guiding customers through the complexities of postal regulations, offering invaluable support and education.

Reflecting on his time at GrayHair, Angelo shared, “GrayHair has come a long way in the last 20+ years. When I started, there were only five employees. Being 100% remote, I always look forward to seeing people on video and, more importantly, at the yearly offsite.”

Angelo’s influence extended well beyond GrayHair, as he served on numerous industry-related boards and committees. He is a long-standing member of the Mailers Technical Advisory Committee (MTAC), where he held leadership positions for nearly half of his two-decade tenure. Angelo was also a board member and executive committee member for Postcom and DTAC, as well as a board member for NAPM and a member of NPPC. Over the years, he became a highly regarded speaker at the National Postal Forum (NPF) and other major industry events, sharing his expertise and shaping industry best practices.

“We are deeply grateful to Angelo for his outstanding contributions to GrayHair and the postal industry over the years,” said Tom McCaully, CEO of GrayHair Software. “Angelo has been a cornerstone of our Postal Affairs department, providing invaluable leadership, expertise, and insight. His dedication to excellence and innovation has shaped our strategy and strengthened our position in the industry. We wish Angelo all the best in his well-deserved retirement and are confident that his legacy will continue to inspire us.”

As GrayHair celebrates Angelo’s remarkable career, the company looks forward to continuing the innovation and leadership in postal affairs that he helped to establish.
