For the past 75 years, the Association for Postal Commerce (PostCom) has supported mailers and organizations that rely on the postal industry for business communication and commerce. PostCom works on behalf of its members before the U.S. Congress, the U.S. Postal Service, the Postal Service’s Board of Governors, the Postal Regulatory Commission, the Office of Inspector General and other federal agencies to be a voice for large and small companies alike.

Currently, the national association is led by President and Chief Executive Office, Micheal Plunkett, who brings over 25 years of experience working for the USPS. Throughout his career with the USPS, he held various positions and climbed the corporate ladder, equipping him with extensive and unique insight into the ins and outs of the postal industry. Aside from Plunkett, PostCom’s Board of Directors and esteemed membership list includes some of the largest companies and mailers in the world, including Bank of America, Pitney Bowes, FedEx, Capital One, Discover, and many others.

Angelo Anagnostopoulos, GrayHair’s VP of Postal, has been representing the company on PostCom’s Board of Directors for many years. Having been very active on the Board and various committees, Angelo’s expansive expertise in Mail Processing, Postal Regulations, Legislative matters and all things Postal allows him to collaborate and contribute with members of the board and the greater Postcom membership.

According to Angelo, “PostCom is a well respected association that advocates for the Mailing Industry in the areas of regulatory and legislative affairs. It is an association that provides great value to its members.”

Along with the legal and political support provided to the group, three PostCom meetings are held each year for mailers to exchange ideas, gain insight into major issues, and work directly with members of the Postal Service. Over these two-day long events, including an entire Study Day devoted to mailer education, members and guests join together to discuss updates and best practices to succeed as a business.

The Association for Postal Commerce continues to be one of the leading industry groups for mailers, mail service providers and any company dealing with the USPS. To learn more about them, www.postcom.org.
