Leading Postal Data Company Releases Redesigned USPS IMb Manager

This enhanced version of their service allows mailers, marketing agencies, and mail service providers the ability to generate and encode the United States Postal Service’s key data point, the Intelligent MailⓇ Barcode.

The Postal Service™ uses the Intelligent Mail Barcode, also known as the IMb™, to extract data from the mailing and delivery process of letters and flat pieces of mail. These 31 digits in the barcode are used to gather essential information, including the status of the mailpiece in the postal stream, routing details, sortation details, and transmitting any issues to the mailer.
