In light of recent events, Cycle O implementation has been delayed. Originally scheduled for August 2021, no new date has been released as of yet. The USPS® says they will resume work on Cycle O requirements once the country resumes normal work activities.

Postal Industry Update

Especially with Cycle O, many of the requirement changes are designed in cooperation with the mailing industry to both improve the accuracy of postal codes (i.e., Five-Digit ZIP Code®, ZIP + 4®, delivery point (DPCs), and carrier route codes) and provide information about addresses that will enable mailers to make smarter mailing and business decisions.

This delay will give mailers more time to evaluate their level of preparedness and make changes that will benefit them now as well as ease the effort to transition when required, according to Adam Collinson, Director of Research & Development at GrayHair.

Our postal experts will be closely following industry updates and we will continue to keep you informed.

Just because Cycle O is delayed, doesn’t mean mailers have to wait to take advantage of address quality opportunities. Email info@grayhairsoftware.com for more information.
